FBI ARRESTS MAN
ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES
Keith L. Bennett, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Cincinnati Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced the arrest of Albert Jefferson Stone, age 28, of Harrison Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio. Stone was arrested this afternoon without incident by FBI agents and Butler County Adult Probation and Court personnel at the Butler County Courthouse. Stone has been charged in a federal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, with violating Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 2252A(1) - Distribution of Child Pornography. Violation of the statute is punishable by imprisonment of five to twenty years imprisonment.
The federal complaint alleges that Stone distributed child pornography using a Limewire file trading system from a computer located at the Hamilton Assembly of God Church.
Stone will receive an initial appearance at the U.S. District Courthouse in Cincinnati before a U.S. Magistrate Judge. The magistrate will determine if Stone will remain in custody pending further proceedings.
SAC Bennett thanked the members of the Butler County Adult Probation Office and Butler County Court personnel who assisted in this arrest. SAC Bennett also noted that this arrest demonstrates the FBI's resolve to do everything possible to combat the growing problem of the sexual exploitation of minors in our country.
The public is reminded that criminal complaints are mere allegations of criminal conduct and that subjects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
